What do I listen to on these trips?
This is probably the most frequent question I get asked. Since my "expertise" (and I use that word extremely loosely), is really long solo road trips, I've mastered how to keep myself company.
Two things.....Music and Comedy.
For music, I listen to everything. However, I really love instrumental, violin and saxophone versions of popular music. I find that music with vocals tends to get repetitive quickly. My favourite music ends up blending in perfectly with the isolated landscapes that I spend a lot of my time in.
Here's a sample of my music playlist right now.
WE DON'T TALK ANYMORE/HUNG 88 REMIX FT QUYNH NHU VIOLIN
DANGEROUS/MEEK MILL FT JEREMIH + PNB ROCK
. . . . .and for comedy,
BIDDING FAREWELL TO JACOB ZUMA/TREVOR NOAH
BLACK PEOPLE VS WHITE PEOPLE WHEN GETTING FIRED/STEVE HARVEY
MEGAFEST PT3 MICHAEL JACKSON/STEVE HARVEY
NAIL SALON UNCUT/ANJELAH JOHNSON
LOST KEYS/JO KOY (WARNING! SWEAR WORDS)
KILLING THEM SOFTLY/DAVE CHAPPELLE (WARNING! SWEAR WORDS)
